Script for National Tobacco Campaign Introduction to Health Warnings
The scene opens with a guy buying cigarettes in a store. he lights up outside the shop.
He is leaning against the wall in the street. a girl is sitting on a bench near him. he looks at the girl. she looks away.
Voice over (V/O): The damage smoking does to you is easy to ignore… So the effects, like mouth cancer, are being made plainer to see…
The scene cuts back to the young man smoking he looks at the pack in his hand.
With a succession of photograhpic zooms to reveal the photograph of the rotten mouth on the pack in his hand.
V/O (as the pack vision comes up): Images like this will soon be appearing on cigarette packs to make you more aware of the effects smoking has on your health.
With another succession of photograhpic zooms out to reveal the cigarette pack in his hand.
The scene then cuts to a wide shot of the guy studying the packet of cigarettes. He has stopped smoking.
